Organic grape alcohol distilled in column alembic. In our distillery we lower it with demineralized water of maximum purity and add a portion of sea water to it. Before bottling we filter it 3 times to give it greater softness.
Very slight notes of raisins and brandy on the nose, reminiscent of the origin of the grape. In the mouth, salty at the beginning, a certain sweetness later, and at the end there is a slight vinous flavor. Highly recommended for cocktails. In combination it goes well with tonic, ginger ale and ginger beer.
For sailors and adventurers of the sea.
Our vodka is inspired by “Operation Sandblast”, code name for the 1st circumnavigation of earth by submarine. The route they chose was almost the same as that of Magellan and Elcano between 1519 and 1522. The American submarine USS Triton SSRN-586 was chosen. The circumnavigation took place between February 24 and April 25, 1960, covering 26,723 nautical miles over 60 days and 21 hours. Once the journey was finished, on May 2, 1960, it emerged in Cadiz waters to honor the feat of Magellan and Elcano. The North American government, on an official visit and in gratitude to the town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda for being the port of departure and arrival of the 1st Circumnavigation, presented him with a commemorative plaque that can be found in the Rafael de Pablos library, the old town hall of the city.
